Nutek Safety Awareness Day 2025

Nutek Safety Awareness Day was held on 23 October. Safety is a collective commitment from all employees and employers in promoting a safe work environment. Everyone has a part to play in creating an accident-free workplace through managing daily hazards.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe workplace, we should apply the following important workplace safety procedures.

It’s important to always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working. This includes bump caps, safety glasses, and other equipment as necessary for your specific job duties.

It’s crucial to report any accidents, incidents or near-misses immediately to your supervisor or the safety member. Doing so helps us identify potential hazards and take action to prevent similar incidents in the future.

When working with machinery or lifting heavy objects, always follow the recommended safety procedures and use the appropriate tools and equipment to minimise the risk of injury.

Finally, in the event of an emergency, be familiar with the emergency procedures and evacuation routes for your workplace. Familiarise yourself with the location of fire extinguishers, first aid kits and emergency exits.

The following activities were organised on the day:
1) Safety Awareness Briefing and Awards Presentation
The following departments were presented with prizes for best safety record in Nutek:
